The Museum of Latin American Art recently visited Ma Art Space and acquired Sueño de la pintora for their permanent art collection.

The Museum of Latin American Art – Museum purchase through the
Lynne Okon Scholnick Fund.
Originally painted in 2007, Sueño de la pintora features layers of information inspired by my ongoing Sueños series of paintings. Sueños, or Dreams, are influenced by personal experiences as a Chicana, and issues of feminism, and spirituality.

I’m honored and thrilled to be added to this amazing collection. The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) dedicates themselves to contemporary Latin American and Latino art.
MOLAA’s permanent collection was initiated by Dr. Robert Gumbiner, who committed himself to the promotion of Latin American Art. What an incredible vision, as they have expanded their permanent collection to over 1,600 works. You can learn more here.
